Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) spent monotonous, similar days in a mental institution until he met Harleen Quinzel (Lady Gaga). Their lives were filled with new hope and the world around them was filled with healing music.
The crime drama and thriller "Joker: Madness on Two" is a direct sequel to the movie "Joker", which was released in 2019. The film grossed over a billion dollars at a budget of about $60 million. Although the first movie did not plan a sequel, eventually all the participants agreed that it was appropriate to work on the second part. Joaquin Phoenix and Zazie Beetz returned to their roles. Scott Silver and Todd Phillips wrote the screenplay again, and Phillips took the director's chair. It is expected that the new "Joker" will feature about 15 songs, most of which are covers of well-known compositions, and there are also several specially written works. The music was created by Icelandic composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, who won an Oscar for her music for the first film.
