Plot

"September's Children" tells the story of a pivotal moment that forever changed the approach to media coverage and continues to influence the modern format of live broadcasts. The events of the film unfold during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. The story focuses on the American sports team, which was forced to quickly switch from sports reporting to live coverage of the dramatic events surrounding the capture of Israeli athletes as hostages.
 
Jeff, a young and ambitious producer, strives to prove himself to his boss, the legendary television executive Roone Arledge. Together with a German translator and his mentor, Jeff unexpectedly takes on the responsibility of organizing live broadcasts. As events unfold and conflicting rumors spread, and the lives of the hostages remain in danger, Jeff is forced to make difficult decisions, grappling with the challenges of his own moral responsibility."
