Plot

The events of the film take place in the heart of a large Manhattan establishment called The Grill, where cultures from around the world mix during lunchtime rush. At the same time, money has gone missing from the cash register, and the management is questioning all employees. Most of them are illegal immigrants, so they try to protect their place under the New York sun. Among them is Pedro, a young Mexican who longs for more from life than this job. He is in love with Julia, an American waitress who cannot have a relationship with an undocumented immigrant.
