Plot
Mom Karin died when she was 8 years old. Now she is 11 and together with her father she is going to visit her grandfather-monk who takes care of the temple. Her father is forced to leave his daughter with his grandfather for a while while he deals with his numerous debts. He promised to come back soon, but he hasn't shown up for a very long time. Karin finds comfort in the ghost cat Anzu, who is the size of an adult human, helps her grandfather in the temple and works as a masseur. Anzu knows how to travel through the underground world, which is very useful because Karin wants to meet her mother again. This risky journey introduces the girl to many creatures that are no less amazing than the ghost cat.
