Trailer

Plot

«Rebellion: Behind the Scenes» — a documentary about the creation of the MUR musical «Rebellion [1991]» from scratch to a grand tour.
The film consistently showcases the entire process of working on the performance. From the first musical and textual sketches written in the Carpathians to the formation of a full-fledged idea of the musical, casting, initial auditions, selection and approval of the cast, doubts about decisions, and the responsibility for every choice.

The film features the voices of the key participants in the process — their impressions, fears, exhaustion, tension before deadlines, and the feeling that things might not come together before the premiere. «Rebellion: Behind the Scenes of Revolt» — is not a film about success, but about the path to achieving it. About art that is not born easily. About a team that is constantly balancing between faith and exhaustion. And about a country that time and time again learns to be itself — on stage and beyond.
