Now planning a trip to the cinema can be more confident. With new levels of air raid alerts, not every signal will mean a canceled screening.
In Ukraine, there are two levels of air raid alerts — yellow and red. Depending on the threat level, the operating algorithm for Multiplex cinemas varies.
What happens during a yellow air raid alert?
During a yellow air raid alert, we pause the screening and inform guests about the threat and the nearest shelter location. Information about the alert also appears on the screen.
After the announcement, the screening resumes — and you can continue watching the film.
If the screening was only interrupted because of the yellow alert and then resumed, ticket refunds are available for guests who left the screening.
What happens during a red air raid alert?
During a red air raid alert, the cinema halts operations, and screenings are canceled.
We inform guests about the air raid alert and the closest shelter direction. The cinema staff also stops working and moves to a safe location.
After the red alert ends or its level changes to yellow, the cinema may resume operations.
Tickets purchased offline can be exchanged at the cinema box office immediately after the air raid alert ends or within 14 days.
If you purchased your ticket online, promo codes for your next cinema visit (for the same number and category of seats as in your order) will be automatically sent to the email address provided during the purchase.
Are the rules the same for all Multiplex cinemas?
In some cinemas, rules may differ due to decisions by local authorities or the rules of the shopping and entertainment center.
In such cases, the cinema may suspend operations during any air raid alert level — both yellow and red.
We know how often air raid alerts change Ukrainians' plans — including an ordinary trip to the cinema. Now, during a yellow alert level, after the necessary announcement, we can resume the screening, so not every alert will mean a canceled screening.
