Plot

The screening of the restored version of the movie "The Color of Pomegranates" is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the director Sergei Parajanov. For the second time in history, UNESCO declares the year of Sergei Parajanov - the first time was in 2004.
The restoration of the film was carried out by the Martin Scorsese Film Foundation in collaboration with Cineteca di Bologna. Martin Scorsese won the Parajanov-Vartanov Institute award for this work in 2014.
The life of the Armenian poet Sayat-Nova, from childhood to death: his spiritual journey, artistic achievements, and internal conflicts made him the main lyricist. He is a master of mystification who fell into his own traps.

- World premiere of the restored version, 67th Cannes Film Festival, 2014

- Martin Scorsese Award for the film restoration, Parajanov-Vartanov Institute, 2014
