Plot

! ATTENTION: this is a film-performance, that is, a filmed theatrical production of a musical, shot in a spectacular
film format specifically for big screens.

Hvilyovyi, Sosiura, Ostap Vyshnia, Les Kurbas, Mykhailo Semenko, and Pavlo Tychyna - on the big screen. They have returned to remind us of who we are. You [Romance] is a historical musical about artists who lived, created, and died to create in Ukrainian. About those who dared to dream. Who believed that Ukrainian culture had a future. You [Romance] in cinemas is the first original historical musical in Ukraine that allows seeing writers of the last century as living people, not just names from textbooks. The story tells of events at the House of Words in Kharkiv, where in the early 20th century, the Soviet authorities killed hundreds of representatives of Ukrainian creative elite. By creating a film version of the musical, the MUR team aims to initiate a trend of recording theatrical productions, to digitize and preserve intangible cultural heritage.
