Plot

Two adult daughters, after their mother's death, discover that the family home still belongs to their father—a renowned director who abandoned the family many years ago. He reappears in their lives, trying to rebuild relationships and offers the elder daughter—a theater actress—a role in his film. When she declines, the father replaces her with a Hollywood star and begins preparations for filming in the house where several generations of the family had lived.
