Plot
The film «The Last Prometheus of Donbas» tells the story of people who, despite constant shelling, continue to operate the last thermal power station in the free part of Donetsk region — located just ten kilometers from the frontline. It is a story about light born in defiance of darkness.
When the station starts working and smoke rises above the horizon, Russian troops immediately open fire. Despite the danger, the energy workers do not abandon their posts — until the shelling ultimately destroys the key elements of the station. Evacuation begins — of people, equipment, and lives. History repeats itself: as it did in 1941, when the station was evacuated to the East from Hitler’s Nazi forces, but this time the journey heads in the opposite direction — away from the imperialistic invaders from russia.
