Plot

Always Lalisa – is a full-length documentary film about the global superstar LISA during her transformative year beyond the confines of the K-pop phenomenon, Blackpink, which made her one of the most recognizable performers. As the group takes a hiatus, LISA embarks on the first true chapter of her solo career, attempting to answer the question: who is she without Blackpink.

The film follows LISA through the process of creating, recording, and releasing her debut solo album Alter Ego, her acting debut in the third season of the series «White Lotus,» and her preparation for her first major solo performance at the Coachella music festival in 2025. Born and raised in Thailand, LISA left home at the age of 14 to work within the demanding system of South Korean pop music, ultimately becoming a global star. However, forging her individual path, especially on the Western music market, brings even more pressure, constant criticism, and the challenge of redefining herself.

Intimate, emotional, and candid, the film «Always Lalisa» portrays the artist at a crossroads, documenting a year of risks, reinvention, and self-discovery, as LISA not only lives through another phase of her life but also defines the kind of woman and performer she wants to be.
